BESA-12G [Battery Electrical System Analyser] had revolutionized its display format and is the first in the world with full graphics display on LCD. With its simplicity of the graphics display, step by step instructions were clearly understood universally without any language barrier.
Comes with an internal printer, the graphic display results can be printed individually after each test. It can store up to 80 Test Results. The Test Results can be recalled and viewed from its memory after completion of the test or can be printed out when required. If needed, these results can be transferred and stored in the computer via an USB cable link. This can be done only with the BESA-12Gsoftware installed in the computer beforehand.
BESA-12G only operates on all 12V Batteries and is able to perform four tests namely:
1. Battery Test:
This Analyzer uses a unique measurement method that involved by a series of numerous shorting pulses across the battery terminals with the resulting drop in the voltages being measured by the microprocessors to compute its final results without affecting the physical state of the battery.
Testing result display
2. Grounding Test:
Analyses the condition of the electrical return circuit contacts resistance which were connected to the engine or chassis body from the battery terminal with results and recommendations display after test.
3. Starter Test:
Checks the cranking effectiveness of the battery to predict when the battery will fail to crank a vehicle basing on voltage profiles with results and recommendations display.
4. Alternator Test (with diode ripple test):
This test checks the alternator charging condition during load at 2,000 RPM, without load at 3,000 RPM and the diodes ripple volts with results and recommendations display after each test. This test will determine whether the alternator is performing its job properly.
Setting of Date and Time The date and time on the Analyser can be set according to your local date & time zone.
Clamping Sign Warning sign when the tester clamps are not properly secured to the battery posts, this will ensure that its contacts are good before conducting a test.
Key-in Particulars Key-in the particulars includes vehicle registration numbers/ battery model/ testing date/ customer's name/ reference numbers/ etc.
To Continue or Repeat Test Selecting this item will allow you to continue or repeat the last test without having to key-in the particulars again on the same car from where you had stopped and it will update the results.
View Test Results from the memory Here it will let you view all the test results stored in its memory.
Erase individual result from the memory
When this item is selected, it will let you select and erase the result individually from the memory.
Erase off all the stored Results in the memory This allows you to erase off all the results stored in its memory and start a fresh new list after you had backup all the stored results to the PC. While in the screens shown below, you need to press certain keys to access into the function to prevent accidental erasure.
Select between Automotive and Motorcycle Test Will allow you to test car batteries from 100A to 2000A whereas Motorcycle Batteries from 40A to 600A only.
Select the Types of Batteries
WET battery meant that it tests all normal flooded types like Wet Low Maintenance (Lead [Pb] / Calcium [Ca]) or Wet Standard (Lead [Pb] / Lead [Pb]) Batteries.
AGM (Flat plate) will test Maintenance Free (Calcium [Ca] / Calcium [Ca]), AGM Batteries.
AGM (Spiral) will test (Calcium [Ca] / Calcium [Ca]) spiral AGM Batteries.
GEL battery meant it can test Gel Cell VRLA (Calcium [Ca] / Calcium [Ca]) Batteries.
Temperature Compensation This Analyser will also take the temperature of the battery into consideration when it has detected that the battery condition is marginal (SOC below 75%)
Select Before and After Charge Selecting "Before charge"or "After charge" will come on when the analyser senses that the battery state of charge voltage is in question before computing the result during testing.
Printout of stored Test Results if the Printer is installed Printing of the stored Test Results can be done while in the View Test results from stored memory.
Personal Computer (PC) Link BESA-12G is also designed to link with PC for data storage and printout through normal printer. This is particularly important for submission of warrantee claim required by battery manufacturers. To do so, the PC has to install the driver first and the software provided in order to operate.
